About Kingmaker
Serving New Mexico's sports community since 2023.
The company
Quality events. Exceptional officials.
Kingmaker Enterprises has served New Mexico's sports community for three years and counting — providing professional officiating, tournament operations, league management, and official development for youth and adult programs statewide. We assign officials for AAU basketball tournaments and manage officiating contracts for Santa Fe County, Rio Rancho, and Corrales basketball and volleyball leagues. We also serve as event coordinator for the New Mexico Senior Olympics basketball competition and help operate the annual Anti-Bullying 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament in Santa Fe. As we grow, the commitment stays the same: quality events, exceptional officials, and outstanding service for the leagues, athletes, coaches, and communities we serve.

Meet Mike King
Founder & referee assignor
Mike's passion for the game started as a student-athlete playing high school basketball right here in New Mexico. Seventeen years of officiating later, he's worked games at nearly every level of competition — and he still serves the local sports community every day as a teacher, official, referee assigner, and Vice President of APIAL. Through Kingmaker Enterprises, his mission goes beyond assigning games: creating organized, competitive, and positive experiences that help athletes, coaches, officials, and families grow — and helping build the future of youth sports across the state.
“Sports create opportunities, teach life lessons, and strengthen communities. Our job is to make sure every game reflects that.
